A Recap of 2009:

Once again people gathered from many states in Murdo, SD for Murdo In May sponsored by Pioneer Auto Museum.

Many people set up Swap Spaces with antiques, parts & many miscellaneous items. Several units were put in the Car Corral to make their own deal.

This was the 17th Annual Auction. Entrys came from 11 states. The McPherson Auction team of Dale, Kevin & Todd once again worked the block. Elvis made a special appearance & sang "God Bless America" as well as some of his other hits. Even in tough economic times we had one of the most successful auctions in the Midwest in 2009. The most expensive car sold was a 1930 Model A Street Rod at $26,000.00 plus a very modest 3% buyers fee.

Many people make this an annual trek to Murdo and enjoy the hospitality of the entire city. During the event there was live 50’s music & dancing at a local establishment. On Sunday the swapping continued and an area Car Show was well attended. Following a parade, trophies were presented.

The annual date is always one week before Memorial Day.
