2010 Murdo in May Celebration: Success!Hundreds of classic car enthusiasts from across the US revved up their engines and attended our weekend-long event, May 20-22. Each year this 4-day event draws hundreds of vendors, collectors, and classic car enthusiastic from across the county for a weekend of great family entertainment – and 2010 was no exception! This year marked the 18th anniversary of the Murdo in May celebration. The celebration kicked off Thursday, May 20 with a four-day Swap Meet and Car Corral, and continued through Friday, May 21 with a car show, live music and parade. The auction was held Saturday, May 22. Cars on the auction block ranged from quality cars for hobbyists to rare collector’s gems, including a 1936 Dodge Street Rod Coupe, a 1955 Pontiac Starchief Convertible, and a 1963 Checker Aereobus. As our May classic car celebration continues to build on the success of each preceding year, with a growing list of entries and an expanding crowd of enthusiasts - we can’t wait to see what happens in 2011! |
